One of my clients is dead set on a print on glass. And he wants one that is 48" x 36". Does anyone know of a company that will make one on glass this large? Please let me know. Thanks

Is your client meaning plexiglass? That’s not uncommon but I have never heard of printing photos on actual glass.

Thank you. No .. Not on acrylic - but on glass like Fracturme

I have several labs for prints on metal paper under acrylic. And these can get heavy....

On actual thin glass like on Fractureme. But they not large enough.

I would contact Blazing Editions in RI at 401-885-4329. I have had them do some stuff for me and I was pleased. I would expect this would be expensive to produce and ship. Best of luck.

I’m just curious as to why the client is set on glass. From what I could find most printing on glass is on small items and at small scales if flat. I know clients get things in their heads and will not be dissuaded even when reality stands in the way.

I might show him some of your stock metal, glass, and acrylic side by side so the client can see the similarities in the glossiness. The largest glass blow-ups standardly available are no where near 3 feet by 4 feet, so I'm guessing that, even if a custom one could be made, the price would be astronomical, not to mention shipping with insurance. Get the prices of acrylic or metal that size to give the client some perspective and see if common sense prevails.

I have two Fracture Me on glass prints. Always get comments, but small.

If the client is rich it IS sensible to ask about & buy! If it is super custom & costly so much the better! I know a couple like this...gotta have better than the best.

Thanks all. When you're smartest person in the room, and know more about everything than everyone else, and know it can be done, everyone else is just gaslighting you when they say it's not normally done that size. I'd be scared to death to have it shipped!!!!!! I know it will arrive in many pieces - IF - I can find someone to do it.

I keep going back to metal or print on paper or metal paper under acrylic.
