My wife stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts and brought home an order of cream cheese and bagels for our Sunday breakfast. Add a little blueberry jam and we were two happy campers. Sometimes the simple things in life are the most enjoyable.

I had avocado toast with a poached egg and everything bagel seasoning one of my homemade baps. I hope you don't mind that I added my picture to your post.

I have not had a bagel for quite some time John! They look so delicious. When I used to visit and stay with my sister who lived in London her husband would go out very early in the morning and come back with warm bagels filled with smoked salmon and cream cheese, mouthwatering!!

Thank you, Sylvia. Years ago, I worked outside of Boston near two great delicatessens. The warm bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon you described and the corned beef on rye were outstanding. I know so many delicious ways to gain weight.

Great image of an awesome-looking, appetizing Bagel!!

So far, I have to travel 160 miles to get halfway decent bagels (not real Jewish Deli style - but good!). This area of the coast seems bereft of good bagels!!

So, yeah - envious here!!

Thanks for the comment, yorkiebyte. I live near Boston and we always had a good selection of delicatessens. Now you can’t find one. Similar thing happening in NYC but there are still a few left. Fast food has replaced good food.
