My husband go for a motorcar ride every year on the Boone And Scenic Valley Railroad in Boone Iowa. It started out to be overcast and rainy and then the sun did come out. We also got to follow the dinner train.

For the motorcar ride, we get to stop and take more pictures. I love this bridge!

Why was the dinner train backing away from you? Did it have anything to do with the plate, the fork, the knife, and the napkin tucked in at the neck?

Great shots.

Thank you for these. There is a group of guys that collect, restore, and operate motorcars, usually on some of the "shortline" railroads. I've met up with them, and they seem to have a great time. Thought about trying to find and rebuild one. My wife asked me, "Where are you going to keep it?" That question really meant something else entirely. It's still fun to watch.

"In the bedroom." Makes great study areas.

I always threatened to put a caboose in the back yard. But she demanded the trestle to be built first. Since I am a bad trestle builder, no caboose in back yard. Other than the one I sometimes plant on a chair in the back.

LOL. Thank you for the two thumbs up. I am not sure about the dinner train, I guess it backs up and then at the end of the line goes forward to return to the station. I am just glad we get to spend time at the bridge.

LOL. My husband has a friend that has one and has gone on several rides with the motorcar club. We thought about getting one too, for him to restore. But we really have no place to put it. It is getting harder for the club to rent a section of track so the rides are getting fewer, at least in this area.
