I had the opportunity to visit the railroad yesterday, (June 24th) and spend a little time with Pat, our UHH "Train" moderator who is once again working at the railroad this summer. I thank Pat for taking the time to chat with me, share lunch, and provide me an overview of the important work he is doing there. The long history of the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad is fascinating and perhaps more importantly it is one you can 'live' by taking a day trip on the train and walking the Chama railyard. Being up close among the people and equipment of a nearly unchanged working steam railroad is something special at the C&T RR.
If you have the opportunity to visit the C&T RR I strongly suggest you do.

WHile I would like to also see it in color, it really lends itself to the B&W. Makes you think it was taken 100 years ago!

Very well, here is the color version.
I have some additional photos from the trip and will post them once I have had a chance to do any necessary post-work and convert them to .jpg files.
Just a few other photos from Thursday's trip to Chama, New Mexico. One in color...
That's all there is...
