Recently, while driving through the parking lot of a shopping center in my town I noticed 12 brand new Tesla charging stations.
Went by again 2 days ago and there were 2 Teslas being charged there
I believe Biden's original infrastructure bill included money for a nationwide grid of EV charging stations.
The need for home charging stations is one which has gotten short shrift.
A standard low voltage (120v AC) takes the longest to recharge. If you want faster charging, you have to invest in either 240v AC, or 480v AC, otherwise, charging will take overnight, and hopefully when demand is least.
When you get into 240v and 480v charging, a completely upgraded service is required. There is also the possibility of passive or inductive charging, and those conversions won't be cheap, either.
And the above answers are only if you have driveway/garage parking. No one has yet answered the question of on-street parking.
Imagine pulling into a charging station on a holiday weekend only to have three to four cars ahead of you before you even start your thirty minute charge. I may not be around when we go all electric but if so I will give up planning any long trips.

That was not his question, his question was about capacity, already in CA they are experiencing brown outs, will it get better if we move our vehicles to electric? Especially when Biden and crew thinks that we are going with Wind and Solar.... China is laughing at us.

480V in many areas may not be code compliant for a residential home. Heck, that's enough voltage to send Alice to the moon.

I think we will need to see quite a bit of this before rechargeable are widely accepted. I know I would hesitate if I didn’t know where several charging stations were located.

Capacity comes in more than one form. From what I have seen the capacity of charging stations needs to increase. The article indicates generating capacity may be adequate. The grid capacity is also questionable.

Yes, codes will need updating.

The Grid is what I was talking about, I was not talking about the cars or charging stations.

He didn't ask a question and linked to an article about vehicle charging, which I read...did you?
As such, I mentioned what I saw in my hometown.
And as far as China laughing at us...they seem to be buying a lot of EVs. According to Wikipedia: "China is both the largest manufacturer and buyer of electric vehicles in the world, accounting for more than half of all electric cars"
Even here in Peoria Illinois we have several EV charging stations.
