I saw this image, but I knew I was going to have to get rid of the light pole going thru the flag. The top and bottom were no prob. I tried and tried. Anyone know how to tackle the middle?

Aloha Ron, I would blow it up real big and clone the pole out! Ed

I cloned out the top and some of the bottom, but the detail on the flag folds are stopping point for me. This is the original image.

That is indeed a nice shot, pole or not.

Enlarge the said area
Choose a reduced clone area and clone out bit by bit
Hi RonB,
I had a go at this, it took about half an hour. If somebody had more time and a steadier hand (must take more water with it!) they could do better I'm sure. I did this in Paint Shop Pro using the clone tool

This would make a great Magazine cover,it really would.
Great perspective. Deejay and Lens cap both did a very good job of getting rid of the flagpole.
