Throwing in whatever the (expletive word here) you want in a Wok is just fun! No recipe here!!

~Sliced Pork with Pea Pods (Snow??), onions and mild peppers, a little Five Spice, a bit of Crispy Chili Sauce (hot), a little Hoisin for a touch of sweetness with the salty other stuff. Fish Sauce (good quality like Red Boat - no cheaping out here!) and a touch of salty Soy Sauce. All flavor (spices and sauces) ingredients a very minimum so the Veggies and Pork are the Dominant flavors!! Also remember - all the ingredients, meat, and veggies are cooked separately and added back in as sauces are introduced... (Look up: Cooking with a Wok on Google).

The flavor is always a Fine Line to Wok!!

Excellent photo, great looking dish! Blast from the past, unless I'm mistaken, a Circulon Wok! Finally wore out the coating on my set, recycled and still missed!

That wok is a $5. wok from a discount store! 10 years and going strong!! It's a heavy mother!!
.. My Oregon wok has a slightly flat bottom so I can use it on the gas stove... It's only been used a few times here. Maybe time to Dust that Thing off!!

Thank you, quixdraw!!

You nailed that one for sure. Sounds delicious and looks even better. You’re a master of liquid seasoning, something I need to learn more about. Most of my seasoning is dry or grown. There’s an oriental specialty store in Boston. Time to buy a few and experiment.

I thought I was never too old to learn until I fell off my grandson’s skateboard (he dared me). Now I do arts and crafts with my granddaughters. Need any pot holders?

Looks DELICIOUS! Have you tried 3 Crabs fish sauce? I got turned onto it about 10 yrs ago by a NYC Chinese celebrity chef (of sorts).

Thank you, Gene51 for reminding me about 3 Crabs! I'm out of it!

3 Crabs is Very Good and a decent price! BLiS Gourmet Barrel Aged Fish Sauce is my fav but really too expensive to use as a go-to. My #1 Go-To is Red Boat. #2 is Son Fish Sauce 33°. #3 is Three Crabs - it is the least expensive of these and still very good in flavor and quality!

~ I did a straight up Taste Test with four finger bowls and all four of these Fish Sauce bottles. VERY interesting! No one else in the family would participate..... a bunch of losers...

Thank you, John Lawrence! I haven't been on a skateboard since Jr. High (as they used to call it!!)! I had a Mustang 15! No thank you now!!

~ Fish sauce is used in a lot of my cooking! It sounds Nasty, but used correctly will add an Umami hit of flavor that brings out the best in many of my crazy cooking sessions... I will even use it in place of salt on Steaks and Burgers one in a while for something different! JUST stay away from the cheap brands in the grocery store - nasty stuff for sure - see my comment to Gene51 in this thread!

...Whooohoo!!
