I’m fascinated by the great blue herons. Such large birds and so graceful in flight as they navigate their bulk onto land. The S shape of their long necks is typical of the species….although often stretched out during flight. The snowies are smaller and therefore a little more graceful overall. The ash throated flycatcher was carrying food to her young in the pipe nest. A very good provider, I watched her bring at least three bugs to her brood. All shot with the Sony A1, 100-400 lens, with 1.4 teleconverter, mostly at 1/2500 shutter priority.
Very nice set of action shots.

Thanks, Vince68! It was a good day!
A lot of captures. How far away di think you were for the heron photos?
Nice set!
I too like GBHs as subjects, and they are more readily available as models in my neighborhood in NC than other large birds.
