I need to have my Canon 7D repaired and I'd like to know where the best place is to send it to.

Your camera may be obsolete so I don't know if they can fix it or not.
What seems to be wrong with it?

Someone here just bought a used 7D from MPB.com for $300. Be careful of how much you want to spend on repairing a broken camera when the exact same model is now so cheap of a price and fully operational.
The pictures come out to light. I see black spots on the viewfinder sometimes too. I'd like to have someone check it out completely and fix what needs to be fixed.

If the images are overexposed, attach an original and un-edited JPEG [u]being sure to store the file[/i] and let's see if we can see something in the camera settings rather than a problem the camera. Use the <Reply> or <Quote Reply> buttons to enable the <Choose file> button that is the method for attaching an image.
Spots in the view finder that don't appear in the actual image may be just a simply use of a micofiber cloth. If they appear in the images, that's a sensor cleaning, something you can do yourself or have most local camera shops do for $90, maybe less.

Keep in mind it may cost you more to get this aging camera repaired than buying a used one in good condition.

Hi Joe.
My name is Rick. I’m the owner and lead technician at Discount Camera Repair and a member in good standing here at the UHH. I’ve been doing repairs for other members here at greatly discounted rates and would be glad to help.
I'd be more than happy to repair the camera for you and keep the cost as low as possible. If you’re interested, please respond by private message.
As I said people want to upgrade to another camera when their camera is working perfectly fine. When it's broken they want to get it fixed and not upgrading to a better one. I don't know why but there must be a psychological reason for this.

With absolutely no intended reference to the OP, I think it's a control thing. We want to upgrade (or update) when we say it's time to update, not when our camera tries to tell us it's time to update...

I sent my 5DIII to Rick last month to fix a sticky button. He also gave the camera & the sensor a thorough cleaning & all for a very modest fee. I couldn’t be more pleased!!

I also sent a camera, Canon 5d4, to Rick for repair. He’s responsive, does excellent work, has reasonable prices, and just as important, stands behind it. Highly recommended!
good to know that you can help on these matters.
I sent my 7D to Canon for a repair quote after the full solar eclipse (August, 2017). Had it on a tripod for the big event and it just went dead. Canon said it was the motherboard and would be $800 to replace. I said No thank you and got the camera back. Just went and bought the 80D after that which made more sense than spending that on a camera that had its better days. I just got the R5 a couple of months ago and the 80D is sitting by its lonesome these days.
