Downloaded Color Surprise AI. It's somewhat better than PS. Anyway I decided to colorize a color photo. This is one of the results.

Here is the original. I'm not sure what a colorized color picture is called

I think I like the original better. More contrast and warmer tones.

Pretty neat! If I understood correctly, this software is intended to colorize a black & white photos so this was just an experiment? If so, it is a whole new world of play. I'm curious how you like the software after you use it more. It is reasonably priced.

Thanks for commenting Frank. The reason I didn't post the original is that in reality they are two totally different pictures created for two different reasons. The original was my attempt to express reality. The second was an attempt to change reality in a manner that was both different and pleasing. I guess I succeeded in the first and failed in the second.

I read somewhere that colorizing color pictures can produce interesting results. Who ever said that was right, I have a new toy. The software was $39.95 on special. I am finding out that how the B&W is prepared prior to colorizing is important. The main reason I spend the money was it does batch processing. I just received a little over 200 B&W images from my brother to colorize so batch process is important.

More to follow as I work with it more. They offer a free trial but the prints are watermarked. After trying a few I decided that $40 was less important than redoing the images I created with the trial software
