We're hosting some baby skunks for a few more days until they go to a rehabber for the last few weeks before release. It's baby animal season and lots of animal moms are leaving orphans near the roads where they've been killed.
This group of four (three pictured) is the second group of skunks we've had this year. Everyone in the family has had rabies shots so we can triage and temporarily house rabies vector species. Their little faces are wet because they've been slurping up skunk formula.

Karin, thanks so much for hosting last week. These are Rosebreasted Grosbeaks. They are very territorial. We have a couple pair. One special thing about them - the male will feed the female.
