The rivalry between red wing blackbirds and blue herons is alive and well. Particularly when one of the heron's preferred fishing spots is next to one of blackbirds nesting spots. The blackbird stabbed the heron in the butt just as the heron stabbed a fish. (I did not de-noise these... yet).

Excellent set. I have seen a Great Blue Heron eating a blackbird. Those birds should be careful who they chase.
