Late in April we had a snowstorm here in Denver. As I was driving home alongside City Park (patterned after New York's Central Park), I saw some icicyles hanging on the trees out of the corner of my eye. This was 2 days after the snow, and it had already gotten warm enough for them to have melted. Yet there they were.
Had to stop. They extended for about a full block or more, just in that spot. They were wonderful. I've attached a sampling, all edited.
Nice shots and perfect for right now. It's presently 85 degrees going to 101 here. I can look at them and remember when

I like #2 the most. I would have spent hours, days, weeks shooting them. I tell my students; "you can never take too many photos".
Thanks, MrMophoto. I did shoot them for about an hour. They didn't last for too many days after I shot them. About 77 shots.

I once read a quote from a photographer: "The more I shoot, the luckier I get". Just another way of looking at it.
I don't disagree at all.
Eventually, the icicles (corrected spelling) got tired of posing for me.
