Republican congressman Louie "Goober" Gohmert suggested to a B*M (Bureau of Land Management) official during a House hearing that perhaps we should look into adjusting the orbit of the Moon around Earth, or the Earth around the Sun as a way to reverse c*****e c****e.

I am dead serious.

Deleted, watched the video, time for ol' Louie to go... He has embarrassed the Republican Party just one to many times and this does take the cake, however as stated below, Hank Johnson's question regarding Guam remains the dumbest question ever asked in a congressional hearing.

And , exactly, how much has the c*****e c****ed, and what will the change do? So far all the climate (g****l w*****g) change models have been wrong. And exactly how much has the atmospheric CO2 level Changed in the last 100 years?

You may be dead serious but that has nothing to do with Congressman Gohmert being serious. BIG difference.

For a real oddity recall back to when the Democratic Congressman, I don't recall his name but someone will, suggested that an island would tip over if there was too many people on the island.

I am dead serious and so was that Democratic Congressman.

Dennis

"C*****e C****e" is a continuing mystery to me - on one side are those who exploit it and "pour it on" solely for money and power.

The other side are those who refuse, or are unable, to recognize that the temperature of the earth has been rising since the START of the little Ice Age - what melted the glaciers that formed the Grand Canyon, the Chesapeake Bay, the Badlands and more - heat from the earth's increasing temperature. There was no humanity to pollute the atmosphere then.

What needs to be done is to dev**e talent and resources to learning how to live with the increasing temperature rather than continuing the fool's errand of trying to stop it, which can't/won't be done.

Two additional notes:
Air pollution caused by humans needs to be continuously monitored and corrected. Bye the way - we must also clean up the pollution caused by the, how many, volcanos that continuously erupt (another fool's errand);
Recognize that without CO2 there will be no greenery thus human kind will have neither oxygen nor food.

So, in effect, the C*****e C****e movement is slowly, but surely k*****g off all species of the earth that depend on oxygen.

Johnson claimed it was a joke. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Louie is in a class by himself, to the point that this question from him isn't really surprising. I'm in no position to be calling out dumbest, but look up dumbest man in congress, and it is mostly Louie who will be called out more than anyone else. I haven't looked up dumbest member of congress' but I'd be surprised if Marjory Taylor Green's name didn't pop up. Googling "bat s**t crazy" used to give you at least a page of entries about Michelle Bachman. I suspect that today You might find Marjory Taylor Green. Louie is from Texas, and he used to be a judge there. My wife can't understand why I'm reluctant to move there. I wonder if it's in the water?

There are things we need in a rather narrow range. No salt, you die. Too much salt, you die. Quote one person who is proposing eliminating all CO2 from our air. I haven't heard any. Either you aren't being honest, or you have a slim grasp on this concept. As individuals we can adapt to minor temperature. We can move various crops to the areas where they will do best. These changes are happening too fast for flora and fauna to evolve.
