A Tornado touched down right beside our house.
This is the first time I have seen a tornado a little close to home if you ask me. No damage was done just a lot of wind, rain and hail. This happened on our farm in Platteville, Colorado.
Just as the Tornado touched down

Don't know what it was doing here, but looked like a space ship taking off

It slowly got bigger as it headed along the treeline

Weren't you supposed to be somewhere safe?
Only kidding, great images!
Outstanding work, Lorima! I would have been in a safe place in the house.
Pardon me for saying so but that took a lot more guts than good sense. None the less you survived and captured a set you can be really be proud of.

Wow! Great captures of one of the powers that Mother Nature has.
Glad it didn't come any nearer to where you are.

Risky business for sure, but I totally get it. If I were there I am sure I would be doing the same thing. The shots are very cool thank you for sharing, it's an angle I don't recall seeing before. Well done!
Fantastic photo's Lorima.

I was on my back porch filming it. We were ready to run to a safe place if it shifted.
Great shots.
Glad it didn’t get any closer to where you were.

Amazing photographs! Check them off your bucket list, so next time, you won’t need to hesitate to seek cover…you were too close for a couple of these. Glad you weren’t injured or worse…but thanks for sharing your shots.

Thanks so much. We were getting ready to run with our cats to an old stone milk house on the farm which is built like a rock. Thankfully that didn't happen.
