This mom and her cubs were quite fun to watch! There was only about 50 photographers taking her photo along with lots of others just watching!

Beautiful shots! I sure hope you are careful around these big guys. They may resemble teddy bears but I suspect they’re not!

Really nice set. Looks like in a few photos they were eyeing up the photogs.

They were 100 yards oar a little more at times. This is in Yellowstone and the rangers are very good at making sure people keep the 100 yard distance! I’m now contemplating the 600mm prime because the distance for wildlife makes getting really nice close photos very difficult with even the 100-500 and 1.4. Many at this sighting had 600 or 800 prime lenses with 1.4 or even 2x extenders. I had lens envy as these photos have a fair amount of cropping and I’m not super happy with the sharpness…

The rangers in Yellowstone are very good at making sure people stay a safe and respectful distance for the animals. These photos have a fair amount of crop and I’m not super happy with the quality and sharpness. I thought I was going to see a guy get it as he was actually taunting a mom bison. His girlfriend was videoing and I had so wished a Ranger had seen him. Obviously I would not want anyone hurt, but he could only have blamed himself if the bison had gone after him…
