Agreed. I think the white eyebrow eliminates the Redwing as a possible ID

This is NOT a Rose-breasted Grosbeak which do not breed in New Mexico where the poster is from. It IS a male, immature Red-winged Blackbird. The eye stripe and pale wing bars are typical. The Hint of red on the shoulder is diagnostic. Marsh reeds are also a preferred habitat

This! It is a young immature Red Winged Blackbird! I have lots of them coming into my feeders all day long! The Marsh reeds are extremely typical environment also...

Here is your same bird from a different viewpoint...note the beak goes right up the forehead but it has the needle sharp point that ID's the RWBB. It also has the stripes & beginnings of the red wing patch, or epaulets. I hope this helps...the female has some peachy color to her cheeks & a bit in front but also is brown not black.
