M, my wife, has been fostering bluebirds since 1971, to good effect in our area. Each summer she ensures clean boxes, nearby water, and evening helpings of meal worms, especially when feeding hatchlings.
In return, these personable birds grace our deck in evening, at times with fledglings in tow at the feeding dish or water.
It's been a great show.

Nice one!!! We, like you folks, enable the birds to the best of our ability...it is ever so worth the effort!!!

Nice shot. One of my favorite birds for their color. We have a box at both ends of our property and usually have bluebirds in both boxes, when I can keep the sparrows out. This year is a real plus, birds in both boxes and with the cicadas they are on their second set of eggs and you can tell the male is not having to work as hard with all the food around.
