Beautiful capture. Backlight made your flower glow. I think your background is a little cluttered. In flower photography, the background can make or break the image. A uniform background can look great – whereas a cluttered, distracting background will draw the eye and prevent the viewer from appreciating your main subject.

Flowers are my least favorite subject, so I still need practice. Thank You for the tips.

Alberio, I think you cactus blossom is lovely. The background just adds context. I absolutely love your second shot.

Thank You, for a quick cellphone pic, I was more concerned about composing the scraps of steel that were right behind and below the cactus out of the shot so I wouldn't have to crop it. I can't remember which camera I used to get the Columbine.
