Easy. When you are finished with a picture, click on file, click on "save as" Make sure you save as a jpeg. Then, if "my pictures" shows up, click on that and then click on the sub folder you created.

On some systems you will see the library folder first. Click on that and then "my pictures" will show up and then click on that.

Hi TA. I'm curious why you recommend to "Make sure you save as a jpeg". I, and most of my phototog friends, always save finished images as TIFFs.

Thanks, JackM

I recommended this because I do not know how much room they have on their hard drive, plus I do not know how much experience they have in pp overall. In addition, If they are entirely finished working it, it is now ready for posting or printing. Please correct me if my thinking is wrong. I am always learning also.

Thanks for the explanation. Nothing is "wrong" with what you are doing as long as it meets your needs. You're right in that TIFFs do eat up hard drive space pretty fast. Mine are typically in the 50-60 MB range, so I use a 2 TB external drive to save all images, in-process and finished. Is working OK so far.

Thanks again.

O.k., good. I am glad I was of some help. Once I save as a jpeg, it means that I am done with it. I have terabytes of storage out the kazoo. I have a lot of crap on them. About every other month I dump all of that crap. Lol.

I'm not so good at getting rid of stuff. If you don't mind my asking, can I assume from your avatar that you are a train nut like me? My avatar is a close up of UP's Challenger which gets into Omaha every so often.

I grew up by the Sooline tracks in Chicago. I am a model railroader and model the Soo. Every time the Challenger or the 844 rolls into town, I am out there photographing.
