Trump Brand Is Toxic

I do believe about half the people in the US dislikes him as much as possible, and that should be considered by any person or organization who wants to get behind him in a run for further office. Since the media actually boasted that they "enforced" the e******n by concentrating purely on anti- Trump rhetoric, there is no doubt they would do so again. His brand is toxic, even if his policies ended up helping many people.

E******ns, in my personal opinion, should concentrate only on policy. They don't, so I think a different candidate should be chosen.

In the world of the trump gop, policy doesn't exist!

They're at the beck and call of trump.

No matter how off the wall trump gets, the trump gop will trip all over themselves to do trump's bidding.

I've been saying this for a long time.

Even before trump was the official GOP nominee in 2016, his businesses had been losing money. They weren't bringing in enough money to cover their day to day operating expenses.

For the past several years what used to be trump branded properties have been removing trump's name from their buildings because of declining property and resale values due to the association with the trump brand.

You have been saying that for a long time. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Don’t you ever get tired of people ignoring what you say because you repeat yourself ad naseum?

First: "the media" is not one entity. I would appreciate your link to where "the media" boasted that they enforced the e******n. I'd also like to know who you believe Trump's policies helped and how you believe they helped them. When a person is as damaged as Trump, no matter the party, and no matter the policies, he should never be given the power of the presidency. Any candidate who fashions himself to be smarter than the experts in every field, could never have my v**e, and if/when given power is very dangerous. Anyone that is that narcissistic should never have the "football". His briefing team shouldn't have to scatter his name throughout the daily briefing to get his attention. A short fingered vulgarian should nnever be president.

Unlike Krack, you failed to attribute your post.

What a silly child you are.....why would I aspire to be like [Krap] Krack.....???

You can use Krack's attribution if you are confused.....

Or you can use me, since I feel the same about The Guardian as https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-guardian/

Feel better now.....???

I think somebody on here might have a more ready resource for the enforcing, or reinforcing, or wh**ever the term was, editorial that was in one of the major newspapers or magazines, but I don't remember.

As far as what the media is, you're right, that is too fragmented these days to use a loose term like that. In my mind it meant the legacy media that is on television.

I don't know what a short fingered vulgarian means.

Thom, I didn't think I could find that article again, but was pleasantly surprised to find it with a simple verbal Google search on my phone. Go figure. Anyway, I posted it on a new subject. In case you don't catch it in the upcoming subjects list, here is the link.

Turns out it was Time, which my mind t***slated to one of the legacy media magazines of my lifetime.

My response specifically referenced your response and it is quite amusing from one who consistently deflects. Yes, you continue to mimic toxicity.

There's nothing in the article about Trump's property values going down because he's being investigate. Continue to deflect. You are the champion.

Yes, we know how narrow minded you are. At least you understood that Trump's little s**ms are being seriously evaluated, so if that's a deflection, so be it.

My Dad told me to never waste time arguing with a rock. We have arrived at that point in this discussion.

You must be referencing your behavior!

If you note the topic of the and feel that I am off topic, you apparently perceive that you have the right to control contributions you don't care for. Gee, that's too bad!

I have no interest in trying to control your contributions other than a reasonable expectation that you stay on message and avoid your usual approach of attempting to deflect and/or otherwise change the subject. Rocks don't have any ability to think and you show it with practically every post.

BY JUSTIN LANE/EPA/CORBIS.
“O.K., you, in the third row… Yes, you… I’m calling on you… Yes, that’s why I’m pointing… I’m pointing with my finger… My FINGER. This one… Why would you think I’m holding up a cocktail frank?”

Perhaps no publication so masterfully articulated the cultural semiotics of the 1980s—the greed, the excess, the wanton vulgarity—with the wit and aplomb of Spy. Founded by Graydon Carter, now the long-tenured editor of Vanity Fair, and Kurt Andersen, the novelist and radio host, Spy was (as its logo proclaimed) fun, funny, and fearless. In the magazine's pages, former Secretary of State and notable gadfly Henry Kissinger was reduced to, hysterically, a “socialite war criminal.” Arthur Sulzberger Jr., then the successor to his father as chairman of The New York Times, was dubbed “the soft, anxious heir to the throne.” But no epithet was more infamous, or oft-repeated as that of “the short-fingered vulgarian,” Donald Trump. Nor was any as enduring. At last week’s Republican p**********l debate, Trump, the party’s improbable frontrunner, asked the audience, “Look at those hands. Are those small hands?”

In a humorous and revealing conversation with NPR reporter David Folkenflik that aired Monday morning, Carter and Andersen reflect on the origins of Trump’s tagline (“Queens-born casino operator,” for one didn’t quite stick) and the history of their relationship to the digit-challenged businessman. They reveal the very formation of some of Trump’s most primal and absurd habits. So what happens if Trump wins? “Graydon and I would share a bunk in the internment camp,” Andersen notes. Carter, however, thinks it won’t get to that. Nevertheless, he notes, “I’m sure he wants to k**l me—with those little hands.”

Oh, the 1980's. This explains why I didn't know anything about that particular subject. I only recently started thinking of politics and political figures in more detail. Thanks for that look into both recent and less recent history.

I love humor in politics. I'd love it if there were far more of it, as I view open jokes made about politicians is in reality one of the highest examples of freedom of speech.

You poor and arrogant fool...

Besides being a fact, if you don't see the connection between my post and the topic, that's on you.
Not that it's your call.
