In April my wife and I enjoyed a road trip to California and visited some parks we have never been to. These photos are from the 2 days we spend in the Alabama Hills. I found this area incredibly interesting...will have to go back. Hundreds of movies have been shot there, mostly westerns.

Excellent shots. I particularly like the milky way arch. Is that a composite of multiple images to get the panoramic view?

Yes, several layers and about 46 images. I was using a 20mm lens so I needed a few more shots.

Each photo is exceptional! Thank you for sharing with us. This area of the Sierras is very special to me.
