Venice Canal pre and post processing

The first view was originally taken several years ago with a 4 megapixel Kodak camera, my first digital. Hence some of the reason for lack of sharpness. The second is after some post processing for enhancement. I still think there is some work to be done toning down some hot spots in particular making the people on the bridge a bit less apparent. Critique at will.

It all begins with good light and a good composition, both of which you have here. In MHO the people are not a distraction. They are not so bright or large that they compete with the subject and they add context.I shot images with the original 1mB Kodak and made some nice images. The camera just records the data, the photographer makes the image.

I agree, it is not the camera. That's why I often just carry a little Fuji waterproof rather than lug my f2.8 lens. Thanks for the input
