Is this possible? Even if you own nothing you still must protect body and mind. Right?

Yeap and in my opinion you then become not totally free due to the confinement of your body. Lol

I could not agree more! If we could talk in person, I doubt that there would be much disagreement once we clarified our position. Have a good gay!

You to sir. Have a great weekend and enjoy your self. Life is just a fleeting moment in the big picture. We humans put so much importance on ourselves and what we believe is cutting edge knowledge. My dad said something to me actually 2 things that I never forget. 1 I know is true the other makes you think. The one that is basically true is everything wants to live even a cockroach. The second that makes me think is how do you really know we are not an antfarm on someone's dresser. Lol. Since everything is relative it makes me think. Lol. Best of luck in all you do!!!

I have a graduate degree in philosophy, and have taught the subject at a college level. Consequently, examining everything from that perspective is natural for me. By doing that, I sometimes overthink a problem. Your dad was a wise man, and I agree with the rest you wrote above. It's refreshing to discuss contrary opinions today with someone who does not go off the rails with insults but attempts to be responsive. Congratulation!

I too get mired in overthinking things at times. I believe the freedom thing is one of them. Lol. Thank you for the compliment. I also enjoyed the conversation. I'm not one to insult. I honestly don't believe insulting someone can accomplish anything except escalation of hate. I do enjoy learning more than anything. I have been wrong many times in my life and will most likely continue to be. Lol I have learned that being wrong makes be better because I learn about whatever it was I didn't know or had false knowledge of. I'm an electrical engineer, gemcutter, retired builder. I grew up well rounded and taught that I was completely responsible for my actions. I'm completely ignorant of your area of expertise. It is interesting to me though. Thank you for the lively discussion also. May you be happy and healthy until you proceed to the next level. Lol

I totally agree with your last point. An environment in which issues can be discussed and debated without resorting to personal attacks is not only refreshing but a blessing too. I appreciate your post. Frank

Yes it is Frank. People fail to realize that passion does not help when it turns to insults. I fail to understand how people think they can come to a solution by acting like a misbehaving child. Lol. If we can't communicate and understand we all seek the same thing (a place to live that we can be proud to give to our children. ) I believe most people want that. There just seems to be only 2 ways to go about it due to political position. That is WRONG. Anyway I am off subject. Lol. Yes discussion and debate are wonderful. Definitely a shame a portion of the population seems to digress to their childhood. Lol. Now comes the heat. Lol. Love ya all

90% of Americans receive their information from the MSM, and the majority of those want to be fashionable by being politically correct, specifically females. Sorry, I just said something not politically correct. That is the way it always has been, with the only difference that those in power did not have the means to control the thinking of everyone anywhere nearly as complete. People are being polarized based on Race and Ideology, always something that generates passion. Debate, and a search for truth, has been replaced with virtue signaling and identity politics. It is not the peoples fault, cultures were always formed by a few good leaders and hundreds of thousands of believing followers. That is the only way it could work. A hundred thousand independent thinkers can't create the unity necessary to produce a functional culture. Nobody is digressing to childhood, good, and bad people, are just following the messages they receive from the leadership whose mouth is the MSM. The problem is, that our leadership, regardless of party, is corrupt to the core.

I agree with everything you said. Never looked at society as needing followers. I can see that it is instantly true. Yes the leaders are very corrupt. I have been stating that for years. They are all for the most part the same. I still believe no matter how passionate you are about your message if you want to spread it and gain followers you can't insult then fail to communicate. I feel that insulting due to disagreement is childish. You sure did hit the nail on the head though.

"I feel that insulting due to disagreement is childish."

It is unintelligent, since it prevents any discourse in which you may learn something.
