Great eating, 7 different kinds of meat. But a pain in the butt to clean.

The land in front of our yard is higher and has a 2’ stone wall around it to prevent erosion. My wife plants flowers there and we watch the squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, etc. run around the rest of the property. The turtle got up there through the neighbors property under the fence. When they hatch, we’ll need to help the baby turtles down from the wall. Thanks for stopping by.

Excellent shot, John. Tell your wife that sometimes turtles will make a big production like that and do not actually lay eggs. Only about half of our turtle experiences like that produced little turtles.

Thank you, Mike. The turtles come up from the pond every year for this ritual but, to your point, I’ve never seen any baby turtles making the return trip. What perplexed us was how the turtle got over the two foot rock wall to get to the flowers. Turns out, she crawled under the neighbor’s fence from the other side. Thanks for stopping by, Mike.

That's a very nice shot, John. She looks quite nice surrounded by flowers. Something digs in my garden every night but I don't know who. I suspect it is either a raccoon or a possum.

Thank you, Carol. I’m glad you liked it. We’ve found raccoons to usually be the prime suspects in our garden. For a relatively small animal, they can make a big mess. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

Walk around photography was my style of photography for many years and my primary source for the photos I posted on UHH. I began losing my mobility several years ago and can no longer take long walks. I shot the turtle from my house with a zoom.

My other hobby is cooking so I joined the new foodie forum the day they began. I can take the picture right in my house and, hopefully, continue my photography for a while longer. I was pleased to see you supporting the new forum.
