I currently have two memory cards that I use with my Sony A7711 camera.

Transcend- 64gb-45mbs -SDXC- 300x

San Disk- 150mb/s -128gb-SDXC

When I shoot RAW with the Sandisk, the camera has a process delay of approx. 6 seconds whereas, the Transcend
has no process delay.

Any help in determining the process delay is most appreciated;

Well that does not make sense to me either.

One very significant point is whether the camera's own buffer is overfilling or not, and if so, by how much. Are you sure you've eliminated that as a factor?

You might want to double-check the Transcend model or post a picture. Those I can find that include the 300x designation quote a data transfer speed between 104 MB/s and 300 MB/s. That could be slower than the SanDisk or as much as twice the speed of the SanDisk model, depending on the max the camera can actually achieve.

Thanks for your reply. All things being equal, the Transcend out performs the larger/faster Sandisk. I'll go back to using the Transcend, keep the Sandisk as a spare. Thanks again!

Shooting the same subject for comparison would be appropriate as well.

You might want to check the speed on the Sandisk. I had a fake CF card a few years back, bought from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. Happened to notice the label wasn’t an exact match for the other oneI had. I was a much slower card the seller relabeled. Got my money back.

Thanks, A little too late to return it. I'll keep it as a spare. Lesson learned.

This video was excellent and it’s explanation of SD cards read and write speeds. It was especially so since I was waiting in a long line to get gas for my car. Have a great day

At samsclub and costo. You can save about .60/gal. Fir 15 gallons it’s considerable. Only about 15-20 this morning.

This was very interesting. I learned many facts and knowledge between the different SD cards available. Thanks
