I live in the Atlanta, Ga area and need to find a reputable place to have my Nikon 28x70 2.8 lens repaired. The motor does not work and it may need to be replaced. It will not auto focus.

Email Micheal at Zacks Camera Repair. They have refurbed a couple of manual focus lenses for me and do excellent work. I don’t know if they do AF lenses, but email them to find out. info@zackscamerarepair.com.

I would send it to Nikon. They have the knowledge and parts. I believe Nikon is not supporting other repair shops.

They have been waiting for parts for my 200-500 and battery grip since April 27.

Are you sure it is your lens and not your camera? Have you tried using other lenses.

I've had good luck getting Nikons repaired at Camera Service Co Inc 4391 W Atlanta RD SE Smyrna, GA 30080-
I haven't used them in a while, but it might be worth checking out...

I have taken my Nikon to Peachtree Camera Repair in Marietta. It's been a while but they were prompt and fixed the problem. You might contact ASoP to see if they have a recommendation.

There is an excellent camera repair in Marrietta, GA that has done some work for me. I don't remember the name of it but you should be able to google it. That would be right there in your area. Good luck.

All of my lens work perfect except this one. I took it to a local camera shop and they did not repair the autofucus.
