Well, this is my first real Post!
These are just a few of the many shots of my three-and-a-half year old step-Great-Granddaughter in my Daughter's condo pool. They are unposed and candid. It was a bright sunny 16 day. I used my D7100..18-140mm on manual,
iso 100, shutter at 1/250, aperture ranged from f10 to f16....SB800 on TTL BL for fill flash. Still got some shadows, probably because of distance...should have used manual. Did some cropping and enhancing (very little), and cleaned up some backgrounds in PSE18.
I would love comments.
I have been an avid amateur for many years, and I love the column. I feel like I know you all and am awed by your knowledge and expertise.
So....here goes...
Very nice. My personal favorites are the first and last of the series.

This is a very cute series! I always prefer candid photos. Hopefully she is taking swimming lessons.
You have some very nice images and she is very cute. Thanks for sharing your work😀
Lovely little girl - well captured in #1.
If only she was looking at the camera in the last one.
Nice set The photos in shadow, was the flash was used with these? Anyway, you have a couple of good ones that show case your grand daughter's beautiful eyes. In photography it is common not to get all keepers. In the case of recording family & friends, I probably wouldn't get rid of any photos unless they were out of focus.

I did use fill flash, my. SB800, but I used TTL BL instead of manual. I also should have lowered my 250 shutter and opened the aperture a bit. My iso was 100 and aperture between 10 and 16 accordingly. It was early afternoon and super bright.. Lesson learned...I agree and thank you!
Great set. The eyes in the first image just grab the viewer. The last image makes me wonder what is on her mind.
