This is not the best picture, but it is really good bread, and I know there are some bread bakers here. What made this bread special for me was the cornmeal. A friend of mine use to grow corn just from grinding into cornmeal. It was the best I have had and sadly I can't get it anymore.

Nicely done, Jill. I admire your baking skills. My grandmother always baked her own bread so I always think of her every time I see or smell fresh baked bread.

I do. I found using 1/4 cup of molasses and 1/4 cup brown sugar worked best for me. That was another person's comment in one of the recipes I had looked at.
