Yeh, I guess we all forgot to show our "White Privilege" card to 'get out of jail free', so to speak. I always forget to show mine and I have to pay all my tickets; I get letters from the IRS; miss out on getting jobs, can't break any laws, etc.

Good for you, now that you understand, I think that you should give 1/2 of your wealth to some disadvantaged black family. After all, you did not really have to earn it, it was gifted to you because of your "White Privilege".

When it worked against me several times, I had no bitterness, and felt it was only fair that after a few hundred years of not getting jobs because of their race, that if they were actually close to me in experience and qualifications, they should get the job. I felt the same when a veteran got the job or someone who was losing their job beat me out. The big picture, ya know what I mean?

All I know is that a white veteran of the Vietnam era police action had to fall in line behind people of color to get a job. Right is that there should be preference for those but the Vets should have been given the same treatment, regardless of color.
The point I was trying to make however was that poor white boys from large families had no privileged.

Being a Baby boomer from New Orleans I experienced a lot of r****m and witnessed the change that the Civil Rights Act brought about. I remember the worst of it and the best of it. The one thing that I remember about the black community is that they were hard working, family loving folks and most of them had their own homes, my how have times changed. I am not excusing anyone for their detestable treatment of the Black.
