I tried to help. I emailed the guy that invented the cordless mouse and he couldn't help. Said it's probably in the computer.

could be a slow computer. The laptop I use for work does this sometimes I think it is background programs overloading the computer. Try using the same mouse on another computer.
I have seen a jerky mouse using a non wireless mouse multiple times, and at times the darn mouse just locks up and refuses to respond/move at all. At that point I have to restart the computer to take care of the matter. Very annoying!!!
