Three different sunsets.

We all shoot sunsets. There are so many colors to photograph that our eyes are attracted to them right away. Depending on the season those colors could be awesome.
Here in South Florida I find reds more prominent during the winter months while in summer yellows dominate.
Changes in weather, like after a storm can make for dramatic images. I am sure those living in colder weather have also experienced beautiful sunsets in fall and after a snow storm when conditions are favorable.

Very beautiful sunsets are experienced here in South Florida on both coasts, the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. I tend to favor sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico, to my eyes they are more colorful. I have never photographed sunsets up state so those Floridians living in places like Tallahassee or the Panhandle I am sure have also enjoyed beautiful views.

These are three different shots, made at three different places. The first two made with Olympus cameras while the last one was made with an old Nikon D2H with a kit lens so any camera with any lens can do a great job, we just have to be ready for them. Applications in our cell phones are available to tell us about sunrises and sunsets and some of them tells us about the "golden hours." The first one is an urban sunset photographed from my home here in Miami. The second one was photographed in the Florida Keys while the last one was shot in The Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

I have been photographing sunsets for over 40 years and to my eyes all have been different, even when shooting from the same spot. Mother nature changes colors at will sometimes in a very dramatic way.
I hope you enjoy these images.

Thank you for your comments. We all shoot as we see it and in this case my favorite is No. 3. I used a moderate tele to compress the view of the mountains. The spectacular clouds and their beautiful colors was a God's present.

They are all beautiful, but the palm trees seem to enhance the colors, to me.

Beautiful images William - and I'm particularly impressed with the D2H image. Pretty amazing what a 4MP camera circa 2003 can do.
