Lake Maggiore is one of several large lakes in northern Italy. In fact, Lago Maggiore translates to "major lake" in English. This photograph was taken twelve years ago and not processed until today. I have been very fortunate to have married my wife who was, and remains, an Italian citizen. I have visited Italy around a dozen times since 2007.

😀😀😀😀 Brings back pleasant memories of visiting the lake many years ago. Your island doesn’t look familiar but I do remember visiting Isola Bella with the peacocks. I think we stayed in Stresa.

That’s Castelli di Cannero, , three small rocky islands off the northwest shore of the lake, a little north of Cannero Riviera.
