No, you need to attach the image from the memory card and not a screenshot from the back of the LCD. Most of the EXIF data will not be displayed from your screenshot. Make sure during the attachment you choose original. This will preserve the EXIF data.

The screen shot with the histogram sure suggests the whites are blown out and very little editing will help.

I am shooting in aperture mode and my pics are over exposed in bright sunlight. What should I do?

Start out my learning the "Exposure Triangle". I've done the Google search for you since you seem incapable of any basic effort.

That was uncalled for. For one thing if the OP had never heard of the exposure triangle they wouldn’t know to Google it. But the main thing is that one of the main functions of a forum like this is that it’s a place to learn and ask questions. The OP has already gotten several helpful responses. Yours appears to only serve your own ego.

i agree it was catty, but it is obvious that the OP has not invested any effort in learning the basics of photography – thus my snarky reply.

Empathy and kindness cost us so little, and simple courtesy costs even less. I assume that you have no knowledge of what may have been going on in this OP's life the past few years, and that you're only ASSuming there was opportunity for making the effort you demand in order to provide a helpful response.

I don’t know what thread you’ve been reading but it appears to me that the OP was thankful for the input and very interested in learning.

I don't want to be specific about the OP as I don't think he doesn't want to learn but although many people just want to use the camera to take pictures without learning the basics. That's OK to me and we should try to help them doing so. I know many people without the basic knowledge can be very successful in photography. Sometimes knowledge is a hindrance and keeps you from doing what you want to do.

I agree with that. Just look through the photo gallery here. There are a lot of well executed snapshots. I know people that don’t know much and shoot everything in auto and shoot really nice stuff because they have a good eye.

They also have the good sense to post their successful images and spare us from having to look at their failures (unless they are seeking advice).

Think about this for a second. Many people come here often just shooting on automatic. That's were they are in their photography education. Not everyone comes in understanding the triangle while others just think they understand it and it is not a prereq to post here. How about the next time we just say to explore the triangle to improve the issue. Be a nice teacher not a mean one. :)

"Correction" is not needed in this case; you simply need to spend time learning how exposure works and review your settings before shooting. ISO is way, way off for bright sunlight.

If you like learning by video, try these:

Thanks for the advice. I got really busy with some professional certification exams, but I will do what you said. My problem is more with camera operation. Its like I am seeing the add attachment for the first time.

If that image was made in direct brigh sunlight at ISO 2200, the old f/16 rule says the exposure should be about 1/2000 sec at f/16 or the equivalent to get you into the ballpark. At f/2.0 theoretically, you would need a shutter speed of somethg like 1/256000 sec. No such speed on your camera. Somethg is messed up. Reset everything to a more workable ISO and make sure no exposure compensation is activated. Do a manual setting of f/16 at 1/200 sec at ISO 200 in the same kind of light. Set the priority setting and see if it tracks. If for some reason you want to shoot wide open for less depth field, get out of direct sunlight, reduce the IOS so you can use an attainable shutter speed.

If none of these tests results in a good exposure, you are doing something wrong or the camera requires service.
