Lunch at the White House

Today is the first anniversary of G****e F***d’s death and president Biden will commemorate the event at the White House by having Mr. Floyd’s family over for lunch. It’s a compassionate gesture and one that will solicit the attention of the press. My main interst though, is the bereaved families of innocent victims that did not earn a seat at Mr. Biden’s table.

Where is the family of Molly Tibetts who was k**led by Bahana Rivera, an i*****l i*******t. Molly was a twenty year old college student with no history of drug use, had never passed counterfeit bills and had never held a gun to the stomach of a pregnant woman. Molly's body was left to rot in a corn field by a crazed man who was in this country illegally. Perhaps Molly's skin tone did not earn her family a seat at Mr. Biden’s table.

Space must have been at a premium at Mr. Biden’s table because he chose not to have anyone from the families of the 264 police officers that were k**led last year in the line of duty. Some of them were ambushed in their cars, some were shot in the back while trying to protect property from thieves and vandals and a few were run down by cars driven by the criminals they were trying to keep away from you and me. Perhaps Mr. Biden dislikes the color blue.

Conspicuous by their absence at Mr. Biden’s table were the parents of 1 year old Sinere Gaston who was shot in the head by the bullets from a gang member’s gun. Also on the “missing from lunch” list was the family of 4 year old Cash Gernon who was kidnapped by a teen aged neighbor. Cash was stabbed to death and his body left in the middle of the street in front of his house. Perhaps Mr. Biden wasn’t interested in this particular tragedy because the skin tones were in the wrong order. The victim was white while the k**ler was black and that combination doesn’t get a lot of attention.

This will be the second visit to the White House for the Floyd family and I’m happy that the man who murdered George has been prosecuted and will probably spend the rest of his life behind bars. I’m happy that Mr. Floyd’s family received a 26 million dollar settlement from the taxpayers because of the unfair nature of his death. However: I don’t know how I feel about the billions of dollars in property damage that r****rs perpetrated in his name. I don’t know how I feel about the 20 people that were k**led during those r**ts, people that we don’t even know their names. I don’t know how I feel about the deification of Mr. Floyd because of the color of his skin. I don’t know how I would explain to Martin L. King the we no longer judge people by the content of their character but rather how they were k**led while committing a crime. I don’t know how to tell my grandchildren that there is no justice for a babies that are slaughtered in the street but we can burn down whole cities for violent criminals who are strangled in the streets.

Perhaps Mr. Biden can answer this one question for me…….had George’s skin color been white would today’s luncheon guest list include the Floyd family?

Biden should pistol whip an old grandma while other members of the Democratic party ransack her house looking for drug money if he wants to commemerate Floyd.
I guess he could pass some conterfeit money...that may work as well.

Thank you for one of the best and well written posts on this subject. Well said.

Had G****e F***d simply done as the officers ordered him to do he would be alive and well right now and most likely committing more crimes against honest citizens. While what the officer did was wrong it would not have happened had Floyd just done what he was told to do. I have absolutely no sympathy for him, his family nor do I believe the family should have been award such a sum of money.

For Biden to have such a luncheon for Floyd's family is truly a slap in the face for the thousands of police officers in America and also for the millions of honest citizens who have died at the hands of criminal thugs across our country who have no recognition at all except on their tombstones.

Good points however a president can’t pick them all and no matter who he picks its almost a sure thing that someone will complain about the choice.

I understand that a "president can't pick them all" but he can ignore them all. Mr. Biden didn't ignore them all, in fact, he shunned all but one. I would like Mr. Biden explain to me why he picked that one particular family. What is so "special" about Mr. Floyd that his death is more important than all the rest. How is it that the family of a man that had a rap sheet over eight pages long and was high on drugs at the moment he drew his last breath deserves more attention than a 6 year old toddler whose last words were, "mommy, my tummy hurts" as he bled to death from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. That fatal bullet was delivered by an enraged stranger. A stranger that has yet to be caught, identified or arrested.

G****e F***d’s k**ler is in prison and his family is 26 million dollars richer. The k**ler of the six year old boy is running free and Mr. Biden has yet to realize there is a problem. All the anniversary lunches in the world won’t fix this issue but please don't forget, there is a difference between an innocent six year old and a seasoned criminal. And, for Mr.Biden, that difference seems to be 26 million in cash and a couple of hundred thousand B*M v**es!

I want to make certain I fully understand your opinion. When you said, "they deserve it", were you speaking of the police? Was the objective of your statement to mean that all our men in blue deserve to be slapped in the face?

Please do not be offended if I'm mistaken, I just want to be absolutely certain I haven't misinterpreted or misunderstood your commentary.

Sorry, you still haven't given me a clear answer. Who is "them"? The police? Are you saying that the police deserve a slap in the face? Please be direct and use nouns rather than pronouns. Thank you.

You have a problem with English. Some of the police deserve a good slap on the face, don’t you agree.

My "problem" with English seems to be intermittent. It only occurs when I'm engaged in conversation with people that lack the sk**l to make their ideas lucid and unambiguous.

As much as I might enjoy a debate about law enforcement with a person of good conscience I have chosen to not waste my energy engaging in conversation with anyone that begins and ends his every statement with an insult.

Goodbye.
