I've noticed a marked decrease in activity at our backyard feeders recently, and it dawned on me that it coincided with the rise of Brood X Cicadas here in KY, after an absence of seventeen years.
And it is not only birds that are taking advantage of this bonanza. This chipmunk was having a fine meal this morning:

Sitting out in the yard tonight I heard what I thought was a very weird bird call. On further thought I believe it was a cicada, just beginning to get its voice. Our trees are full of the shed husks, so a loud chorus is probably not far behind.
