Beautiful set! I believe most raptors spend quite a lot of time being dive-bombed by protective parents.
I've seen sparrows hassle eagles, flying right at them until they get tired of it and leave, then chasing them for
quite a distance! Crows seem to have a tag-team routine.
Really like #6's expression.

Those crows are merciless! Thanks so much, JohnnyDW!

Just a little tip when photographing large raptors: Never stand below and behind them when taking a shot Yes, I learned this from personal experience

Sounds like good advice......I was actually eating dinner on the patio and he was 20 feet away! I was so happy I’d brought out the camera!

Excellent series. At first glance I though he was scolding you for taking his picture.

Red tailed hawk landing in the cypress tree....very perturbed! At least ten crows mobbing and dive bombing him. He was pretty vocal about it and unhappy over their attentions. He finally flew off to join another hawk!

Great set!

Had a hawk lurking around for a couple of months. Always new when it was around. The birds would go crazy. Look out the window & the larger crows & blue jays were all harassing the hawk. It couldn't of cared less & wouldn't fly off until I opened the door to the balcony. Nice photos.
