We've used a Canon G16 for the last 6 years while shooting from the car during our car club cruises. I haven't been happy with the results I was getting. I could and have tried using my D850 but just too heavy, hard to use in a m moving car and decided to upgrade from the Canon. Went to Fort Worth Camera to try and trade in the Canon and purchase a Nikon Z50. It was a very pleasant purchase got more for my trade, camera was on sale, and was a no sales tax weekend for purchases that day.
Wanted a light weight camera and decided to try the Nikon for weight, size and similar function menus as my other Nikons.
On the shot here I wanted to see what kind of a shot I could come up while highlighting the camera. This shot is done with a common overhead fan withs light. The additional light you see from the right is a small flashlight inside the Rogue grid adapter normally used with a speed light, used as a gobo in this shot.
I think using the adapter as a gobo was genius. The light pattern takes this from a product shot to an interesting and creative photo. Very nice and I know you're going to love that little camera. It will play well with its big brothers.

Thank you Carol. I tried to make the photo interesting and have some drama, I think the directional light has it going in that direction..
