These pics aren’t all wall hangers but I love birds in the spring! The breeding season is upon us and some of the young are already fledged. Some of my favorite birds are here and I’ve enjoyed tracking them in the spring. The red tailed hawk and prey was taken in horrible light. I couldn’t get my shutter speed up in time but the capture is a good example of bird behavior.

Thank you, NMGal! But I must confess.....a fellow birder had already identified that screech owl. The tree is quite a distance from the road, and pretty high up. And the bird blends into that sycamore quite well! I’m hopeful I can see the owlets soon!
