Just took out a subscription to CC (for PS and LR). Downloaded it successfully and PS works fine (I don't use LR). Problem is, my Topaz and ON1 filters don't show up in the Filters gallery. Curiously CC doesn't show in my Applications folder, and I an't find it anywhere else, so I can't drag and drop Topaz/ON1 into the plug-ins folder. Adobe offers no help whatsoever. Can any Hoggers offer advice, please?

Adobe chat can be helpful but I suspect it’s on US time and maybe not on Saturday. Oh, and your using my name! *I* am Jim Ward! 😜🤪

If you go to Adobe.com, make sure to select your country and look for the phone number for a real time chat and if necessary a screen share. I have always found them very helpful. Perhaps you are not looking in the right place. I live in South Africa and times for phoning are for my time zone not USA.

Did you download and install the desktop version of Photoshop? It should be Photoshop 2021 (version 22.4.1) as of May 2021. Check your software 'about' and maybe you need to revisit the Adobe site and find the correct software?

Adobe Creative Cloud should show up in Applications folder as Adobe Creative Cloud. Photoshop should show up as Adobe Photoshop 2021. Most plugins should be installed with Photoshop and/or Lightroom NOT running; during plugin installation, there is often a dialogue box asking you to confirm you want the plugin associated with compatible host applications. In some cases we can copy/paste plug ins from an existing plugin folder of a prior version of Photoshop into the current/new plugin in folder (also with the host application NOT running) but this process has not always worked for me and some plugins must be reinstalled. Some plugins will not be available until you have launched them after installing, and then the dialogue box appears asking if you want to add them to the host application. I have never heard of dragging an application itself into a plugin folder.

Once you sort out Photoshop, and are certain it is properly installed and running, your next conversation might should be with On One and Topaz. In my experience, Adobe doesn't offer much help or support in correcting problems with third party software, which is what all of these plugins we love are.

Adobe Creative Cloud should show up in Application... (show quote)

Agreeing with minniev about double-check the PS software. After resolving PS, try just reinstalling the third-party plug-ins and see if that 'triggers' the link between PS and the plug-ins during the software re-install.

When I called them I think they were on the India time zone.

If you had Topaz and other products installed and then installed Photoshop and Lightroom, it will not come up in the adobe products. You will need to install Topaz after you have Photoshop installed. Or try just reinstalling Topaz now that you have Photoshop installed.

You nailed it. Topaz looks for Photoshop on installation. Me thinks, you will have to install Topaz again

Think you just need to reinstall Topaz and ON1. I use ON1 and thru the years when I update to the latest version of Photoshop I needed to reinstall ON1.

Adobe isn't going to help you with some other companies software. I would reinstall your Topaz and ON1 filters and see if that solves your problem. If not, then I'd do a little research on Topaz and ON1 filters to see if you can figure out the problem. Try Youtube and search Topaz and ON1 filters installation. If all else fails call or message the company that makes Topaz and ON1 filters.
