what do you do with the pieces?
===
i take the best shots, fill in the backgrounds with shots from around the world, and pretend that i just came back from a vacation.

the first pic is my ex, dtr, & granddtrs; background is el alcasaba, taken in málaga and in a local restaurant.
the 2nd has the town of portofino in the background.

Very funny, however, many places local will increase the size to 24x36 as you wait. Wal-green is one. Also you can go on line upload your pic and it will be ready for you to pick up in an hour. Not all the Walgreen's have poster capabilities so you would need to check.The cost is not so much when you consider the cost of a 24x36 picture in a frame. You can get the frames at thrift stores also. You will be amazed how much better your pics look on a larger scale.

I shot about 1000 pictures a month for our auctions. These get posted in the web site, and are usually comparatively "cheap and dirty cropped shots" I also train the Army Judo team. those photos are usually candid or action shots. I present those I think are decent to the cadets or their families. The third group of shots go into one of several galleries. I can probably take thousands before I use one that way. I take photos in various seasons of friends homes, and after extensive touch up (getting rid of telephone wires and the trash cans) present them to them. Sometimes as Xmas or holiday cards for their use, and in a few cases as photos on canvas. Other shots go into martial arts magazines or travel publications, a few go into the newspapers.

I scrapbook them for family, friends and me. I play with them in photoshop cs3. I've made calendars and photobooks as well. I also have made kaleidoscope pictures to embellish cards and scrapbooks. I have also painted a couple of the photos.

Fellow photographers, glad to see the many uses for photos. You guys are great. I am a pro and want to pass on. First, I want to say how I organize my photos. I have a morph way of organizing: The hiarchy goes like this:
Photos,Scenic,Landscape
Sunrise/Sunset
etc
Mountain,(name of mountain) etc
Photos,Fauna,Deer
Mule deer
Whitetail
Duck
Mallard etc
This way I can search for any catagory and find what I want. I can't imagine trying to find a wedding photo that I shot two years ago, at what month. Altho tagging I do and is a big help. Just some thought to ponder. Thanks
