I have shooped with AMAZON for many years.....sign in, see what is available and buy.

Today I went there and immediately it said my password was wrong...........I check and it was correct....had the same password since day1.

so I had to change it...............little black letters flying across the page......way beyond my skills to remember them........then it said "listen to the letters" OH YEAH!!!!! so goodbye AMAZON.

If you always enjoyed and were Happy with your Amazon products and service, I would not "GIVE-UP" so quickly, if having issues with Logging in, Just call Customer Service, I am sure some there will be able to help you with your New Password, they are their to take care of their loyal customers. I am one of them too.

You may have been the victim of a scam. I'd contact Amazon security and see about getting things resolved. Otherwise, I guess it will be your loss of a great place to purchase things.

Internet security is a HUGE problem. Hackers and scammers are trying their best to steal our information, our identity, our money... So vendors like Amazon change peoples' passwords every now and then just to be sure you are who you say you are! Yes, it's a hassle, but safety is worth it.

Are you too old to be trying to get by with a drained bank account because hackers used your account to buy a lot of really nice stuff for themselves?

It could be on your end, do you have a wireless keyboard or mouse? When the charge on those gets REALLY LOW it can scramble passwords etc. because the signal is not complete. I have had that one happen, typed in the password a couple of times and was told it was wrong. Then got a blinking power light telling me my keyboard battery was low. Changed it, typed in the password and everything was OK. My present keyboard doesn't have a power light so I just check or change the battery frequently.

In my case it was not hackers. It was clearly a system/process failure.

The ordered item did not turn up. After I managed to let A know I received 2! After I sent one back they said it never turned up!

The irony is that A is usually not cheaper.

I am unable to contact A, bacause I cannot log in, because they say the password is oncorrect.

Sounds more like you were redirected to a site looking for your password, I get them quite often from several sites saying my password was compromised or incorrect etc, You should then go to your account via a different computer or browser, check that all is good then delete the email (if that's how it came in to begin with) or just ignore the message.

If you can get someone that speaks the same language as you.
Amazon customer service has been outsourced now days so you will get a customer service agent in either India or the middle east and have to explain in detail what the problem is so they can follow the flow chart to get the desired outcome.
