I visited the James River Park on a bright sunny day. Since there were a few pretty clouds, I carried my infrared setup - Nikon D80 converted to 590nm with a 15mm Irix lens. For RAW processing, I used Darktable and GIMP for some spot removal.

I like the last three most.
Sorry for the spots in the first image, I picked the wrong version!
I was able to swap images
Excellent set! When we lived in Caroline County we used to walk the dogs on Belle Isle. randave is another UHHer in the Richmond area.
I have seen all of these several times but your infrared just adds a whole new look to them. Kind of other worldly.
Very cool!!! Beautiful other-worldly images.
Thanks for the nice comments! It's taken me a year of infrared shooting to go from something that is a different effect to a pleasing image.
Sort of a 'dream' or nightmare sequence. I've always appreciated IR and it's special treatment of vegetation. Really enjoy seeing this imaging of a classic historic early American/English settlement site of the pre-1600's.
Thanks for choosing to use IR for this location and sharing it with us.
