For the Olympus OM-D E-M10 M3
B & H also will have options for optical or wireless remote trigger devices as well.
Why go cabled when you can use RF?

What does the manual list? (Should be under "Accessories.")
My olympus TG-5 uses a free Olympus phone app that, among other things, can function as a remote shutter.
i have a different camera, Oly OM-D E-M10 M3 4/3?

Carl,
The same app, according to Olympus, works on all their current cameras. That is why I pointed it out.
I use the app on occasion but firing up the WiFi in the camera uses a lot of power. And the app uses quite a bit as well on the phone. So a cable saved all that when doing a lot of shooting. If not, use the app
If you are looking to buy a remote device, I suggest you look into the Vello unit. It works perfectly and it is a wireless unit, capable of taking a picture with the camera a hundred feet or more from where you stand with the controller. Mine is for Nikon cameras but they have models to fit other makes also. I must have taken 75-100 pictures usig the remote mode and never had a problem. The only problem I have had with it, and this is very common to many photography items, is that the instructions are printed with the smallest type extant, meaning that you have to have a magnifying glass to read the instruction manual that comes with it.
Why not using the self timer. Set it and it will fire at the preset time.

RF="Radio Frequency". The remote release command is sent via radio wave rather than direct connect cable or IR (infrared red light).

On the other hand the app lets you see what your shooting and control the exposure too.
