I am wondering if I can mass delete photos from Lr. For example, if I have taken 200 photos and decide that 50 are keepers, I want to delete the remaining 150 photos. If I click on a photo and press delete, I am given the option to delete the photo from disk. However, if I select more than one photo and press delete, I get a "beep" and I can't delete the photos. I am forced to do one at a time, which is very time consuming. I must be missing something. Does anyone know how to delete multiple photos from Lr with a "single" click? Thanks.
Try right click on one of the photos selected and select remove photo. A box will pop up, select if you just want it out of LR or off your computer completely. This works for me.

Click on photo. Press x for delete. After xing what you want press control and backspace together. This works for me.
(I just don’t do it enough. Hate to delete photos. 🥴)
Works on my Lightroom Classic. Select multiple images, press delete and get the options box.

Yes you can delete a group of photos in LR Library folder (not from a collection) but not one click. Select photos to be deleted, type "X" to mark selected photos as rejected, type "Ctrl"+"Backspace" to delete rejected photos then select delete from disk or library.
As mentioned by others, use the "reject" flag to identify those images to delete. The filter by that reject attribute, select all rejected, and mass-delete all those images. Delete from both the catalog and disk. The files go to your recycle bin where they need to be completed deleted by emptying the recycle bin.

Thanks to all who replied. Your directions have worked! This makes my life much easier.
If they are contiguous, (on a PC) select the 1st, hold down shift & select the last, (non contiguous select using the control key) hit the X key. then select Photo from the top ribbon, select delete photo, then you have the option from disk or from LR....

Hit; X on those you want to delete. Go to the photo, at the bottom select delete.

I flag all the ones with an X that I want to remove from Lightroom; then go to Photo/delete all rejected. You then have the choice to delete from disk or just remove from Lightroom. If they are looser photos, I delete from disc as I’ll have no use for them ever!
Hope this helps.

Lightroom Classic: I find it works well when you're in the Library Grid mode. If you're in the loupe mode it doesn't always delete all the photos.

Actually the same thing happens when keywording. Adding keywords to a group works in grid mode but in loupe mode the keywords are only applied to the primary selection.
