I would like to hear from anyone who knows about Targus tripods. More specifically, a source of parts for Targus tripods.

I have a friend who owns a Targus MX2000 tripod but it is missing one part, without which it is useless.

TIA

True, but all the search gets you is quick release plates and replacement heads. All this one needs is the nut that is just above the adjusting handle.

Pretty sure I saw one complete for parts. All you likely need is a thread gauge which a good hardware store will have per Kmgw9v's suggestion.

Tell your friend to junk it and get a good tripod.

I used 2 similar tripod and every time same item broke and wasn’t handy at all. The tripod what I have now is over10 years no damage at all. Well invested about $200......
