This is for all the experimenters out there. I'm curious what can be done with it. A lot of you folks make suggestions after I have posted an image, asking to see the original. So, here is the original. Do with it what you will.

Thanks Bob for giving us your photo to try our hand at some edits. I'm always up to trying new techniques and processes.
My edit was made up using a butterfly I shot last summer. The background is made up of two layers I purchased from DailyTexture.com.

Thanks for your input, sippyjug. Although the image was rendered as an almost "gloomy" look about it, the flower brings it back to life

Thanks, Bob. Of course it is a post-processed image with a bit of fantasy however that is what the title, "The Exploration of Digital Artistry" means to me which is images from an artistic viewpoint.

I first created an abstract background from your original image. Next I did a cutout of the flower, duplicated it, then flipped the orientation of the second flower and merged together. Finally, added a drop shadow and a light vignette.
