Walking up my blook in Brooklyn, the reddish leaves poking out of the green fence caught my eye.

Then I noticed the leaves had a similar shape to the trianglular tops of the houses in the background. The leading line of the fences & houses - plus the silhouetted tree counter-balancing the scene w/a nice blue sky made the shot.

Nice to share your explanation -very nice composition, seeker!

Hope I’m not too late. Here’s a few “quick shots” of … “stuff”. All from my iPhones

It's not easy to use a cell phone as if it was a SLR - no ability to control the 'focus point' for the image. This is one of my major ways to direct the viewer to one sharp area of the image from which all other sections of the image are revealed. I will work on a few of my favorites in the next day+ to add to your posting.

I set the focus point of my iPhone by touching the screen where I want the focus to be. I can also use portrait mode for non-portrait subjects to create a blurred background effect.

I use an iPhone 11 ProMax and have several apps: Lightroom Mobile, Distressed Effects, and Snapseed are ones I use most. Recently I learned that if you shoot "live" and then when looking at the image on the camera roll, you can swipe up and there are a number of options under the image - I've been getting some interesting effects with the "long exposure" mode.

Love the Black & White of the river flow.

I thought it would be fun to take some Cell Phone photos. The phone I am using is a Galaxy A71 5G.
The photos don't come out to crisp but then again I probably need to play around with the settings.

Here are a few photos I have taken over that past few weeks. Just take photos of anything and lets see those cell phone photos.
