I glanced into the yard and to what to my blood shot eyes did appear...no it wasn't a sleigh...but a Sand Hill Crane did I see. That's never happened before.
As usual I was not prepared...so I scrambled to get a camera and made some adjustments to the settings. I was in the kitchen at the time and leaned over the sink to get close to the window which hasn't been washed since last year.
Not stellar images but evidence that it was here.
I live in North eastern Pa and never seen one. Nice capture.
Very nice shots, Joe. I'll bet it was a welcome visitor!
Here is a report from Central Indiana. We are on a flyway from northern Indiana to Florida; my brother is in
Florida. We often see Cranes. In Florida, the cranes are like chickens in Indiana. As they passover Central Indiana, They squawk, squawk; the cranes in the back of the flight encourage those in front to keep on, keep on!!!

Good capture! Glad you were able to get your camera in time to get some shots.

Pictures of Sandhill Cranes are made. not taken.
Great capture. My brother found one in his backyard in Minnesota forthe 1st time (thought it was a heron).
I got to see the winter home of approximately 25,000 of them in S.E. Arizona in February
Topaz Studio has a clean window slider? Cause your window is pretty clean compared to mine.

I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania and I've never seen one, either. I do agree, nice shots.
