Small-Parts Case

I wasn't sure if this belonged in Main or Chit-Chat, so here it is. When I was in the supermarket years ago, and I saw a guy repairing something in the store, and he had a great storage box. I immediately bought one. Then I bought another. I now have five of them. It's the "Stanley 25-Compartment Shallow Pro Small Parts Organizer." Home Depot has them for about $19. Rather than having things in little boxes all over the garage, I can put various electrical connectors in one box, washers in another, etc. Most photographic items are too large for these cases, but they're perfect for small parts. The little boxes are removable, and you can move them around.

Watching craftsmen on YouTube, I've seen many of these boxes, sometimes in custom made shelves. Home Depot has free delivery, by the way.

Those are really nice.... just think of all the saved trips to the garage or basement when looking for a fastener etc... when making a small home repair. Tool belt on your side and a parts box in hand and the home repairman is all set.

I have a couple of double sided ones like that that I keep fishing lures in. Very handy.

I posted a topic in Chit-Chat recently that was moved to Main Photography Discussion. I wasn't sure where to put that one either.

Yes, it is nice just picking up one box and having an assortment of what I'll need. When going on a long trip in the car, I can have different kinds of snacks in different boxes.
